Share 'Photo ratings'

I have asked for this a few times now and still nothing has appeared. Is it possible to get the ratings, either number of likes or star rating from the API please?  This is urgently needed now for something we are doing and we've told members that we've asked for it. How come nothing new is added to the API ever?
