I'm building a network app that has its own canvas page and I'm trying to save view settings to the viewers appdata.  I get the following error:

[{"error":{"code":400,"message":"badRequest: Invalid Request was rejected."}}]

Here is my request payload (reduced down to just "Hi" for testing):

[{"method":"appdata.update","params":{"userId":["@owner"],"groupId":"@self","appId":"@app","data":{"lastLessonViewed":"Hi"},"fields":"lastLessonViewed"}}]

...which looks fine to me.  Additionally, the app owner (ie the network's creator) is able to save this data so its only viewers who fail.

Am I missing something or does Ning prevent viewers from storing AppData on network apps?
