How to get user id from login information?

Hi guys,

Doing this server side.  Is there an api where I can post/get to ning our users email and password and get their id back and some other information?

[writing as a GET for simplicity]

Request:

http://someningurl.com?email=[e-mail]&password=asdf&so...

Response:

userid=5&isActive=true&whatever=somethingelse

Hi Chris,

When you authenticate a member via the API, you get back an author value, which is equivalent to their screenname. You can then make an additonal call to get extra information. Here's some documentation.
