The curl connection on the NingAPI returns the #"7" error code every time I try to connect to my network

I'm think it might be caused by the fact that my offices are behind a proxy.

I tried adding this code to the curl connection code but it still returns "a connection failed error".

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, self::CURL_TIMEOUT);

Hello everyone!

I wanted to inform you of the launch of the first (to my knowledge) Drupal site integrating a Ning delegated authentication.The pattern of operation is quite simple. This site allows any member of the Voile-RC ning-network to authenticate on this Drupal site with its Ning credentials. All posts this member will do on this Drupal site will be accompagnied of its name, photo and a link to its profile page. The…

With the goal that everyone can benefit from this development, I decided to submit this module to the Drupal community to make it accessible from any Drupal installation. This process is long and I will keep you informed when my module will be approved.

Hi all at Ning !

I am currently developing (and debugging) with php and I'm using the Ning API PHP library available on github

When I make a call to the "get" function, it raises the following exception: "cURL error: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK.
Hi all at Ning !

I am currently developing (and debugging) with php and I'm using the Ning API PHP library available on github

When I make a call to the "get" function, it raises the following exception: "cURL error: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed".

To work around this error (to avoid to verify the CA cert), I added the following line just after the curl_init() call (in the "call" function) :

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE);

This is fine for debugging, but this method is indeed a real security hole! I think a real solution should be implemented in the future version of the Ning API PHP library...

Do you plan to fix this in future versions, and if so can you tell me when?

Best regards, and thanks again for all the work you do.

Pierre
