Hello,

I'm currently trying to develop and app that would display certain member roles on people's profiles. Is it possible to access the role name through opensocial.

Thank you!

We have a client who is getting HTTP 503 errors when using the OpenSocial API. The same functions were working a few days ago. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

Network Creators now have the option to place OpenSocial applications on member profile pages. Previously, profile views were limited to the "My Apps" area within a member's profile.

You don't need to make any changes to your OpenSocial application to enable this functionality. To activate it, the Network Creator simply needs to enable OpenSocial applications on profile pages on the My Network -> Members -> Controls page.

Note that the default behavior is still to display the profile view on the "My Apps" page, and it's up to the Network Creator to enable direct profile page display.

Update:

You can encourage Network Creators to enable the profile view by sending them the Creators post explaining the changes.

Ning Leaderboard for Invitestag:build.ning.com,2010-10-05:6308082:Topic:1332010-10-05T16:37:47.000ZAllen Wymahttp://build.ning.com/profile/AllenWyma
This isn't necessarily an API question, but I was curious... I wanted to add a leaderboard to my Ning site, but I wanted to use the leaderboard for a contest we have based on how many invites you have. I couldn't find a leaderboard that was built for this kind of activity I wanted to do, so I'm guessing that I have to build it?

If someone can point me in the right direction or maybe tell me where I can find a leaderboard to do this, or even just tell me if I should use Opensocial to build this…

Thanks for your help.
